The residents of the Pocheon village accidentally bombed by South Korean fighter jets on Thursday are now dealing with the aftermath.

The accident happened ahead of this year's Freedom Shield exercise, an annual training drill conducted with the US military. The incident injured 29 people — 15 civilians and 14 soldiers.

The village is now covered in debris, with broken glass and destroyed homes. Many residents have been left without a place to stay. Emergency teams are helping the victims while the city government investigates what went wrong.
