Jennie of Blackpink placed her first solo studio album “Ruby” atop iTunes Top Albums Chart in 21 regions.
Focus track “like Jennie” swept music charts abroad with all 14 B-side tracks trailing along. Music video for the main track claimed No. 1 spot on YouTube’s trending video charts upon release and generated over 16 million plays on the platform as of Monday.
She dropped three songs in advance before the full release of the album and all made Billboard’s Hot 100: “ExtraL” featuring American rapper and songwriter Doechii at No. 75; “Hangover (feat. Dominic Fike)” No. 96; and “Mantra” No. 98.
Meanwhile, she took to the stage in Los Angeles to mark the release of the LP last weekend, under the title, “The Ruby Experience.”
